Show home ready!

Well the table top sale didn't go as planned, only two people turned up on the Saturday, so I extended it for a few days.  I also posted some stuff on a Facebook group for selling scrapbook stuff and managed to get rid of some of it.  Not lots but it's made a small dent. Only problem was it was all over my dining room and kitchen.  I've spent this weekend getting the house back to normal and looking show home ready as the estate agent is here on Tuesday to take pictures. All I've got left to do is run around with the Hoover and clean a few remaining Windows, which I plan to do tomorrow after work. I've another pile of bin bags to take to the charity shop and think I've broken my shredder with clearing out old paperwork.  If it's broke I'll have to resort to having a little fire on the BBQ to get rid of the rest of it, but seeing as it's quite chilly at the moment it sounds like a nice idea. I'm back to been torn about what sort if vehicle...

Table top sale

its early Saturday morning and I'm about to throw open my doors to welcome strangers into my home for a craft table top sale. Ive been a crafter for over 15 years, I've amassed a huge about of stuff and as part of the process of getting ready to live in a van I have to get rid of it all.  Well not all of it.  I'm keeping a few things for myself but I'm limiting it to a very small amount. I have spent a small fortune on what I have and I'll be selling it for silly money today, but I know I will never use it all in my lifetime and I'd much rather somebody who would use it took it. My dining room and kitchen are covered in it all.  What doesn't sell I'll be sticking into Facebook and eBay and hoping it can find new homes via those channels. I've a pile of business books that I am going to be selling, is so disheartening though as some of these books I paid over £30 for and best offer I can get is 20p.  Still it's 20p better in my pocket I su...

New job and making plans

I started a new job two weeks ago, it's only a temporary position until September helping to organise a festival.  It's kept me very busy though, hence no recent posts. I've not given up the dream though.  This new job is to help fill my pockets with some pennies in the meantime and help fund putting the house on the market.  Home reports and estate agent fees are not cheap. Last weekend I was in Manchester for the weekend for my uncles funeral.  I stayed with friends nearby and they arranged the nicest surprise for me.  My darling boy came to visit, what a treat.  I miss him so much and loved seeing him.  My friends also gave me another treat, they took me to a motorhome sales centre.  They literally had 100's of caravans, campers, stealth vans and motor homes for sale.  I was in heaven.  It was great to be able to go and sit in so many different types.  Figure out what was important and what wasn't in terms of kit, layout, etc...
