New job and making plans
I started a new job two weeks ago, it's only a temporary position until September helping to organise a festival. It's kept me very busy though, hence no recent posts.
I've not given up the dream though. This new job is to help fill my pockets with some pennies in the meantime and help fund putting the house on the market. Home reports and estate agent fees are not cheap.
Last weekend I was in Manchester for the weekend for my uncles funeral. I stayed with friends nearby and they arranged the nicest surprise for me. My darling boy came to visit, what a treat. I miss him so much and loved seeing him. My friends also gave me another treat, they took me to a motorhome sales centre. They literally had 100's of caravans, campers, stealth vans and motor homes for sale. I was in heaven. It was great to be able to go and sit in so many different types. Figure out what was important and what wasn't in terms of kit, layout, etc. My proposed budget got blown out of the water though, but then again they were forecourt prices. Once home and a quick Google and I could find similar in my price range.
Now I want to see if I can hire one for a short period and do a test drive with the pets and see if the layout works for us as a family.
Been busy getting rid of things at home. It's actually really nice to clear the clutter. I'm being very hard on myself about what I keep. I don't want to get rid of everything as we don't know what the property situation will be. I will need a homebase of sorts. But getting rid of clutter is bloody brilliant. All the crap we hang onto in our lives, telling ourselves it will come in useful one day. Well believe me, it never comes in useful so I'm getting shot. I'm selling some bits, but also donating lots to the charity shops in the area.
Have lots of research to do and my list seems to be growing each day. Today I popped into the vets to ask about passports for the pets. The dogs have them as they came from overseas, however, Hudsons has lapsed. Miss Daisy doesn't have one at all. Interesting thing is, depending on which country we are going to depends on the type of rabies jag they need, I,e if we are staying in France for longer than 6 weeks then they need an annual vaccination. Strange. Nim going to have to read up on the government website to make sure we follow all the rules to the T. Imagine if we are overseas and have a problem with paperwork? What would happen to the pets? Doesn't bear thinking about. Thank goodness I've given myself plenty of time to get these things sorted.
Catch up again later x
